Justin,
Your smile melted everyone. I'll always remember the great times in Mrs. McCarthy's room -- King Justin, Johnny Deep - Justin from Mohawk - MASH - and all the other moments too many to mention. You , David and the class always had a great friendship. You'll be miss.

My heart is so conflicted from this loss of life here on earth because I know that Justin is up there making heaven a better place. I’m so grateful that for over a decade I’ve gotten to have you as not a “step” brother but a bonus brother.
I still can’t find words so I’ll share what I shared on my Facebook-
Cancer. Autism.- Words that did not define my step brother.
Loved, loving, giving, caring, happy, excited, smart, intelligent, avid reader, wresting lover, music enjoyer, family oriented and most of all believer of God- all words that DO define my step brother.
Cancer is an ugly, horrible, life taking word. Justin was doing OK, he was doing better but little did my mom and step dad know that he would have to be rushed to the hospital, have emergency brain surgery and just shortly after they would have to decide to give Justin back to God.
My heart aches. No one should have to lose someone this young, no one should have to lose a child.
I know that he’s with his mom, I know he is pain free, I know he is watching endless amounts of wresting and talking to God about all of the people he has loved in his life on earth.
Please pray for my step dad, my mom, my step brother, my family. And please go hug a loved one.
I know you’re resting easy buddy. I love you!

I did not have the pleasure of meeting Justin but I work with his step mom Shelley and she talked of him with such love and admiration every night at work. Her face would light up when she spoke of his courage with his cancer battle and the kind of young man he was. For this reason my heart aches for Tom and Shelly but we all know they have a wonderful guardian angel watching over them. Fly high Justin❤️

Justin: Even though I have known you for a short time through First Assembly Church, I believe you are one of God's angels. Your loving spirit has spread to some many people including my Dad, Dan and Angie. Your kindness to them is so much appreciated. You are a light to this world. I enjoyed being with you at the men's meeting last Friday and will always remember your smile! Now I will not say good bye but see you soon in heaven!

I am forever grateful for the many years that I had you as a student. You were always so quick with a smile, loved to laugh, and had endless curiosity about the world around you. You were one of the kindest people I have ever met. I will always remember “Justin From Mohawk”, “Hump Day!”, your AMAZING knowledge of music trivia, your infectious laugh, and your winning smile. You left us far too soon, but we are all much better for having known you!

I had the pleasure of meeting Justin when he was 9 yrs old. He very quickly became part of my family.I remember his fear of broccoli and only wanting round waffles, not square. Justin amazed me with his intelligence, We would watch movies and he would be able to tell you who the director was and knew everything about the production crew.We would talk about his cat Billy and the entire clan of Mafins. Justin you brought so much joy to my life and am surely going to be missing you. I will never forget your laughter and your smile. I will never forget you and the impact you’ve had on my life.

I met Justin when I also lived on E. Jefferson St. He would walk by my house daily, sometimes several times daily and he would stop to pet my cats. They would see Justin coming and go lay on the sidewalk, so he couldn't get by without stopping for a pet. Justin was always very polite and talkative and we even had ice cream together one day when the ice cream man came by. I am thankful our lives crossed paths, even if it was just for a short time. Sending my condolences to all of his family and friends.
