Obituary of John H. "Jack" Allen

NEWPORT – Mr. John H. “Jack” Allen, 68, slipped away peacefully as he slept at his home in the Town of Fairfield, with his loving wife by his side, after his long battle with cancer, on Thursday morning, July 18, 2019.

He was born June 22,1951, in Ilion, New York, a son of the late John H. and Eleanor (Hayes) Allen. He graduated from Frankfort-Schuyler Central School. John worked at Remington Arms for 32 years. and upon retirement, working in Newport Village with Les Crossett and Leftover Expenses. John was a great outdoorsman, having thoroughly enjoyed his hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed the loving compassion of his dogs and cats that always were around him.

Jack is survived by his wife of 44 years, Karen (Doremus); his daughters, Tina M. Sudakow and her partner, Heath Flike, Tracy M. Reesh and her husband, Tom, and Teira M. Davis and her partner, Dan Tripple. Jack is also survived by his two loving grandchildren that were the light of his life, Aurora I. Davis and Frank A. Sudakow.

A Memorial Service to honor Jack’s life will be held Sunday, August 4, 2019, from 1 until 5 PM at the Ilion Fish and Game Club, 1276 Barringer Road, in Ilion, with most respect of Jack’s love of the great outdoors and all that it had to offer.  He also leaves his estranged daughter, Teresa Allen.
