A full - time husband, father and grandfather, Mr. Mayton was of the Lutheran faith. He was an active hunter and fisherman and had great knowledge of and a love of tractors. He was a machine operator at Remington Arms, having worked with the company for 30 plus years.
He is survived by his beloved children, Bernie P. Mayton and his wife, Theresa, of Florida, Paul Mayton, Jr., of Mohawk, Paula L. Monk and her husband, Donald, of Mohawk, Robert A. Mayton and his wife, Heidi, of Cobleskill, and David B. Mayton and his wife, Emily, of Ft. Plain; his grandchildren, John, Ian, Michael, Savannah, Kailey, Cody, Dakota, Dustin, Robert, Jr., Todd, Joshua, Alex, Joshua and Jacob; great – grandchildren, Sam, Henry and Jackson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He leaves his siblings as well, Anna Tucker and husband, Norm, of Virginia, Yule and husband, Richard, John Mayton and wife, JoAnn, Evelyn Archer and husband, Lewis, Daniel Mayton and wife, Sharon, Margaret Gerhartz and husband, David, Dorothy Robellard and husband, Ronald, Martin Mayton and wife, Joy, Steven Mayton and wife, Laurie, and Thomas Mayton and wife, Janice; and a sister – in – law, Karen Stokes and her husband, Salvatore.
