Karen and I shared rides to work and shared a room together. She loved her students and they loved and respected her too. I will always remember how she would start her reading groups by having her students stand behind a chair and she would give them a squirt of hand sanitizer before sitting down. She was very cognizant of her health and those around her. She would often relive memories of her late father and talk about helping her mom and keeping Jenna on the best path, especially in high school. Jenna, you were her whole world! She would do whatever it took to make sure your life was happy and full of love. Everything revolved around her family. My heart goes out to all of you. God bless and wrap His arms around you all.

I am so sad to hear the news that Karen has passed. I worked with Karen for many years at Dolgeville Elementary School. I enjoyed her friendship. Jenna,
your mom adored you. I remember she would bring you to my classroom and others whenever you visited at our school. I enjoyed seeing you grow up, and seeing the pride and love your mom had for you. I am so sorry for you and your family for the loss of Karen. 63 is too young for someone to leave us.

Dear family,
Please know we hold your hearts close during this time of great grief.
Karen was my daughters first grade teacher coming to school with a broken arm in the midst of welcoming a newborn sister one week later. Karen calmed our fears and Jessie adjusted to left handed writing easily... What a gift she had!

An amazing teacher and woman. I have the best memories of the years I spent with her. She stayed in contact with me well after I left her classroom. For a few years as I was still in elementary school she would contact my parents and pick me up to help her set her classroom for the new school year and bring me to Green Acres. Our paths crossed again about a year ago while I was bringing my oldest daughter to PT. With great joy she embraced with the biggest hug. She never forgot me as I will never forget her. Sending love and prayers to you all and hugs to heaven.
