Obituary of Barbara A. Salanco

LITTLE FALLS – Mrs. Barbara A. Salanco, 83, of 755 East Monroe Street, formerly of London Towers, Ilion, passed away on Saturday morning, August 17, 2019, at Alpine RNC.

She was born on October 15, 1935, in Warrensburg, New York, daughter of the late George and Armenia (Demorest) Stone. She was educated in St. Johnsville schools and went on to attend beauty school. She was married to Nicholas Salanco, on October 15, 1955. He died in June 1982. Our fondest memories reflect back upon mom and dad raising our family on the dairy farm, on Osborne Hill Road and mom’s amazing ability to bake white bread.

She is survived by her children, Nicholas George Salanco and his wife, Jo Ann, of Middleville, Mark Alan Salanco and his friend, Lura Camardello, of Salisbury, New York and Ray Robert Salanco and his fiancée, Patricia Kain, of Salisbury Center; grandchildren, Alysa, George Andrew, Nicholas and Justin; great-grandchildren, Makaila, John, Ariel and Chayce; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her siblings were Philip, Thelma, Violet and Phyllis. 

There are no calling hours.  Friends and family are invited to attend a  Celebration of Life, on September 15, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Rusty Nail Grill, 2167 State Rt. 169, Little Falls, NY 13365.

In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, contributions in memory of Barbara may be made to the Rusty Nail Grill, 2167 State Rt. 169, Little Falls, NY 13365.
