Rev. Lamanna married our oldest daughter and husband. He was not only admired by them, but by us also. He was always so warm and friendly to our family, and blessed all of us whenever we had the pleasure to chat with him at Ponderosa.
What a legacy he left behind, of doing our Lord's work. He will be missed by so many, but never forgotten by those fortunate enough to have met him.
He is in a better place now, with his family and our God !

So sorry to hear about the passing of Father LaManna! He was a family member in my eyes - he has been thru the life stages with me and my family! My mother-in-law, Mary Castellano (also passed) used to work for Father in the rectory and sing in Church, Frankfort. Father married my husband and I and baptized our children. There are so many fond memories of Father thru out our family. You will surely be missed, Father! Rest in peace.

God could not have chosen a better man to shepherd his flock at St. Mary's Parish. Your dedication to your parish reached far beyond the bounds of St. Mary's. You will forever be remembered for your works while at our beloved church and the many parishes you served after your retirement. God has called you home to now personally serve him in heaven. Your work here is complete. Thank you for the sacrament we received from you, many from birth to death. We'll always miss your smiling face as you greeted us at mass. May you enjoy eternal peace in the house of God. Bless you father.

Father Lamanna was a great priest. He presided over our grand daughter's baptism in 2004 at the Annunciation Church in Ilion. He made my MOTHER-IN-LAW very pleased. She was a Methodist, and Father announced that non-Catholics could come up to the altar during communion time and he would BLESS them. Mom was glad that she did not have to stay in THE pew while we went UP to the altar!! GOD BLESS YOU, FATHER!! We have many good memories of you, and are glad that the Noth Frankfort Bridge is named for you!!

Father Lamanna was a dear friend to my husband’s family. It was the assurance that they would get ice cream after religious education lessons that allowed my husband to attend those lessons. Father Lamanna would often go with the family.
Another time while my husband went to confession, Father said, “George, is that you?” When he affirmed it was, Father responded, “ Tell your mom to put the macaroni on, I’ll be up for dinner.”
A very dear person has gone to heaven. May He Rest In Peace.
