Dear Michelle and entire Smith family,
I was very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. I spent so much time in that house on Folts Road, riding my bike up the hill to be greeted by your mother in the kitchen. She was always truly lovely to me and my family, particularly when my mom got sick. She was just full of life and so much fun. My love to you all.

So many memories with Gram and far too many to list. However, I will add one memory, which many do not know, but will be forever be stuck in my head and heart.
When Gram was in her mid 50's, which I will add that still looked like she was in her 30's and physically she felt and acted like she was still in her 20's, she decided she was done "just" watching her twin grandkid's and friends play football in the yard and she wanted in on the action. So she asked if she could join in, which we gladly said yes. It wasn't but a few plays later, that we decided to run an offensive play with Gram to get her in on the action. Before you knew it she was sprinting up the yard and never looked back. Within seconds she started running towards a big tree in our yard and next thing you knew she flew full speed into the only huge tree in the front yard and was laying on her back. As we all ran towards her to check on her, and assuming she was injured, we soon realized she wasn't crying in pain but in laughter. After we brushed her off and picked her up, we asked her what she was doing. She then told us, "I thought you had to touch the tree for a TD and I was going to score no matter what." After we got done laughing, we explained to her that all you have to is run past the tree for the TD and not into the tree. As you can imagine, we decided that the game was over and she won no matter what.
She truly was the best grandmother anyone could have had and there are no words to describe how wonderful and great she was to not just her grandkids but everyone. She was always willing to try anything, play anything, do anything, and we were blessed to have her in our lives for as long as we did. We will miss having her around but she will always be with us and surely watching over all of us.

Cindy, David and Michelle,
Many that crossed the path that Nell traveled, whether they knew her or not, were and ARE blessed by her presence.
GOD & family, provided her strength & determination throughout her life. Her passion for wanting to be there for anyone and everyone is one of the many enduring features of her legacy.
Her spirit surrounds her family, more now than ever. Know that her smiles, laughter, guidance, words of wisdom and many of her other attributes will always touch someone daily in reminding them that she is with us.
Nell loved life and family. Well done Nell, Well done:) !
Forever in my heart-Shelly (GA.)

Tony and I had the good pleasure of being in Nellie's company several times over the years. We were even treated one year, to Nellie's pies when she came to our house for Thanksgiving!
Our best memory of Nellie is when we discoverd she loved college football. One season she happened to be in town on a weekend the University of Utah had a home game. She was such a a trooper; she had fun at the tailgate and talked with everyone as if she had known them her entire life! Then she even walked the long trek to our seats which also included climbing lots of stairs! She had so much fun that day, rooting and clapping for the home team! I think though, more than anything she loved spending the day with her son David, who along with all of her family she loved so much!
