Obituary of Elizabeth Jakubec Kopp

DOLGEVILLE – It is with great sadness that the family of Mrs. Elizabeth Jakubec Kopp, age 101, a longtime resident of Dolgeville, New York, passed away peacefully, Saturday, September 26, 2020, in Melrose, Florida, surrounded with love at her home. Betty was born November 28, 1918, in Little Falls and graduated from Little Falls High School, ‘Class of 1936.’ Her marriage to Edwin F. Kopp took place on September 2,1939, at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Dolgeville, by Reverend F.K. Riebesell. The couple was longtime members of the church. She had a great love for her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She is lovely remembered by her daughter, whom she lived with, Sally Ann Kopp, of Melrose, Florida; two sons and daughters-in-law, Reverend Edwin R. Kopp and his wife, Brenda, of Dolgeville and Frederick J. Kopp and his wife, Sandra, of Blairsville, Georgia. She was predeceased by her parents, Paul and Susan (Vdoviak) Jakubec; her beloved husband, Edwin F. Kopp, on May 10, 2005; and her siblings, Paul and Steve Jakubec, Susan Yerina, twin sister, Anna Phillips and Katherine. The family is so very thankful and appreciative to the Haven Hospice in Florida for the care and compassion they provided to Betty and her loved ones during her final days. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Little Falls, where she will be laid to rest with her husband accompanied by a small graveside prayer. Although there are no calling hours, it is assured that the graveside service and the interment will be properly tended to in a dignified manner by her family friends Funeral Directors Harry J.
