Obituary of Agnes M. Miller

LITTLE FALLS – Mrs. Agnes M. Miller, 96, a lifelong resident of Little Falls, New York, whose family home is on Burwell Street in the City entered into eternal rest on Saturday morning, January 30, 2021, at the Alpine Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Little Falls. Agnes was born on September 1, 1924, in Little Falls, a daughter of the late Joseph Reardon and Faye (Albright). She graduated from Saint Mary’s Academy and went on to receive a professional business certificate from Excelsior School of Business, in Utica, New York. On October 25, 1947, she was united in marriage with Bernard N. Miller, Sr., a Salisbury native. The couple were wed at St. Mary’s Church, in Little Falls, with the Rev. Whelley, officiating. Their love was endless and had celebrated 54 years of tender loving marriage and Bernie passed away February 22, 2002. In her working career, Agnes was employed as a files clerk with Cherry Burrell Corporation, in Little Falls, as well as a receptionist at Little Falls Hospital. She was a communicant of the Holy Family Parish and a dedicated member of the Church Rosary Society. At one time, she was a member of the former Knights of Columbus Auxiliary. Personally, Agnes was an accomplished musician and dancer. Her memories of times spent with her friend Bernadette Hecox were vivid and cherished. Reflecting upon her even as a practicing musician with the Little Falls Symphony under Mr. Dussault was something we will always remember. Mom and dad’s dancing days date back to Dino’s in Schuyler and mom’s favorite taste was for a ‘slow Gin and Orange!’ She devoted herself to her beloved family and we will dearly miss her and her generous nature. She was a wonderful and exemplary mother and grandmother. Survivors include her loving family including her children, Bernard N. Miller, Jr. and his wife, Joanne, of the Town of Little Falls, James Miller and his wife, Sharon, of Fort Plain, Mary Beth Marosek and her husband, Michael, of Little Falls and Anne Marie Helbock and her husband, David, Sr., of Sterling, Virginia; her grandchildren, Terezeja Lemieux and her husband, D’Arcy, Johanna Miller, Kira Miller and her special friend, Jordan Bronson, Benjamin Miller and his wife, Andrea, Cameo Miller, Dr. Scott Marosek and his wife, Stephanie, Sarah Orlando and her husband, Robert, Shawn Marosek and his wife, Corinne, Michael Marosek, Stephanie Boyd and her husband, Josh, David Helbock, Jr. and his wife, Robin and Michael Helbock; her 15 great-grandchildren, Joseph Justin, Ella Rose, Alexander, Ozzie, Sage, Sullivan, Laurel, Joseph, Claire, Grace, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Lily, Macy and Holly; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Agnes was predeceased by her brother, James Reardon; her special aunt, Agnes Reardon; and her great-granddaughter, Hayley Helbock. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at 11:00 AM, at the Holy Family Parish Church, corner of East Main & John Streets, in Little Falls, with the Rev. Brian Slezak, Pastor, officiating. Spring interment will take place in St. Bridget’s Cemetery, Salisbury.
