Obituary of Darlene Maryea

ST. JOHNSVILLE – Darlene Maryea, age 69, a longtime resident of Wohlgemuth Road, St. Johnsville, New York, (Town of Ephratah) peacefully entered eternal rest at Nathan Littauer Hospital, in Gloversville, New York, on Tuesday morning, February 9, 2021, with love and support always at her side. Darlene was born on May 3, 1951, in Schenectady, New York, the daughter of the late George and Ethel (Atwood) Maryea. She had been a longtime resident of our area, namely with her Lexington family. Her faith was Roman Catholic. Darlene spent so many wonderful moments with her Lexington family. Everyone should have at least one friend with a sassy personality and a wild heart! Darlene was once a sassy and rambunctious young woman. She had personality plus! We fondly reminisce about the good ole days of her being so well dressed, her hair and nails done just - right and her magnificent and beautiful scarfs. We had so many happy and wonderful times with her. She dedicated her life to her family and friends who were her family as well at Lexington who will miss her and always cherish the memories. She leaves her loving family: her brother and sister-in-law, Carl & Teresa Maryea, of Gloversville, New York. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, C.J. & Amanda, Barbara & Ron, Carla and Christie and Jeff; as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, in St. Johnsville, New York. A Catholic funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at 11:00 AM, with Deacon Joseph Cechnicki, officiating. Interment will then take place in the springtime at St. Johnsville Cemetery. There are calling hours prior to the funeral service from 9:30 until 11 AM, Wednesday morning. If you plan to attend the calling hours or funeral service, due to COVID 19, a face mask will be required. Thank you. A very special thank you is extended to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, all of whom have offered us so much support and concern.
