Obituary of Codie J. Brewer

ILION - Our most loving dad, son and brother, Codie J. Brewer, of Otsego Street, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Codie was born on November 5, 1991, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Town of New Hartford, New York and was raised with love and compassion. Codie had a heart of gold and absolutely loved farming. In fact, it was his passion and dream in life to follow his dad’s footsteps, to be a farmer. He was a graduate of Mohawk High School ‘Class of 2010’ and attended college in Morrisville for some time. He worked in the automotive field, at one time as an emergency service technician for 4 Seasons Tire & Auto in Ilion. We loved Codie with all our hearts and fondly reflect upon his passion for hunting, fishing and Ford Trucks! Codie had the potential to be anything, yet his greatest hope and aspiration eventually someday revolved around becoming a farmer. We love you and miss you dearly Codie. Beloved and cherished by his family: his mother and father, Jim, Jr. and Jennifer (Sullivan) Brewer; two brothers, Kyle and Cole Brewer; his children that he adored, Taylor, Raelynne, Weston and Gemmalynn; his grandparents, John Sullivan, Dorothy and Paul Knapik and Phyllis and Jim Brewer, Sr.; his Uncles, Timothy (Bri) McGuire, Joshua (Lauren) McGuire, Richard Brewer, Sr., Michael (Alisa) Brewer, Branden Brewer, and Andrew (Tosha) Brewer, as well as Dorothy (Aunt Dee) Roskowski and Peter (Uncle Pete) Roskowski; and so many close friends that he considered his family; and aunts, uncles and cousins that he loved. He was predeceased by his cousin Richard Brewer, Jr. Funeral services for Codie will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 11:00 AM, at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, in Ilion, New York, with lay minister Gregg Sponburgh, officiating. Interment will then take place at North Columbia Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to calling hours which will be held at the funeral home on Monday, June 21st, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. All are welcome to the calling hours, the funeral service and the cemetery interment service to follow. Those wishing to remember Codie in a special way, as requested by his family, are asked to consider a donation in his memory to a trust to be established for the loves of his life, his children, as an ongoing tribute to his absolute adoration of them. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home for this purpose. Codie’s family sends out a warm heartfelt thank you to his friends, family and the community for being at Codie’s side and for all their thoughts and prayers.
