Obituary of Lynne S. Cigale

LITTLE FALLS - Lynne S. Cigale, 75, of Delray Beach, FL (and formerly of Little Falls, NY), passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Lynne was the matriarch and north star of a tight-knit, loving family, whose closeness was the envy of everyone they knew. The love and devotion she had for Bruce, her soulmate and husband of over 50 years, was admirable, and a model of what a marriage should be. Her three children, their spouses and six grandchildren absolutely adored her and were the center of her universe. Lynne was born in Little Falls, NY on April 5, 1946, to Michael Brundjar and Suzanne (Mucica) Brundjar and spent the first 57 years of her life in Little Falls. She graduated from Little Falls High School in 1964. On August 29, 1970, she was united in marriage to Bruce Cigale at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Lynne spent many years employed with the medical offices of Dr. Suresh and Dr. Kamla Sharma and has many great memories of working there. She was a well-known member of the community and left an impression on everyone that had the pleasure to know her. Her fondest memories involved her children’s sporting events. They could always count on her being in attendance and cheering feverishly for their teams. In 2003, Lynne and Bruce moved to Delray Beach, FL to be closer to their children Matt, Lauren and their spouses. Shortly after, her daughter Erin and husband Rich moved to South Florida and the family was back together. She spent the majority of her final years spending quality time with (and spoiling) her children, grandchildren and “grand-pups”. Her entire family gathered most every week and the Sunday family dinners became a sought-after affair with great food, drinks, conversation and an abundance of love. Lynne was recently predeceased by her daughter, Lauren (Cigale) Madden, who fought a courageous thirteen-year battle with metastatic breast cancer and showed us all what true strength was. In addition, Lynne was predeceased by her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Jack Hughes; brother-in-law, Edward “Bunk” Cigale; and other close family and friends. Lynne leaves behind a world that shines a little less bright and is survived by her husband, Bruce; son, Matthew (Jennifer) Cigale; daughter, Erin (Richard) Grandy; son-in-law, Jonathan Madden; grandchildren, Olivia and Gavin Cigale, Nathan Madden, and Kate, Natalie and Will Grandy; and sister-in-law, Marcia Cigale. She is also survived by her special nieces, Betsy (Bob) Fox, Marilyn (Tom) Cipolla, Jackie Hughes and Theresa (Kurt) Scholpp. No services are scheduled at this time. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, you consider contributing in Lynne’s memory to the Little Falls Little League, P.O. Box 992, Little Falls, NY 13365. Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Enea Family Funeral Home, Little Falls, NY, Funeral Directors, Harry J. Enea, Jr., Kevin E. Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia, with all our love (315-823-2424).
