Obituary of Eric B. Maine

ILION – Eric B. Maine, age 52, of Scarlet Drive, Ilion, New York, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 15, 2021, with his family always by his side, in Cleveland, Ohio. Eric survived a double lung transplant, in Cleveland, in 2017 after being diagnosed with IPF. Eric fought hard and was blessed with his wife at his side every step of the way. Born in Ilion, New York, on January 25, 1969, Eric was the son of Wesley Maine and the late Constance Frances Mary Newman Maine, of Ilion, New York. Eric was a graduate of Ilion High School. On June 13, 1992, he married his sweetheart, Kathleen A. Moore and they enjoyed nearly 30 loving years together. Eric spent twenty years working at Remington Arms, in Ilion, as a Shotgun and bbl Inspector. Eric had a passion for spending time with his family. He was an outdoorsman through and through. He was a devoted husband and the most amazing father and Papa. The love he shared with his wife and daughters was above and beyond and he had a heart of gold. Eric was a family man and is survived by his beloved family, his wife, Kathleen A. Maine; his two daughters, Alyssa A. Maine (Tyler Staves) and Erika A. Maine (Amanda Robinson); his father, Wesley Maine (stepmother, Marie Maine); his grandchildren, Layne, Logan, Sabrina, Alanna and Hunter; his siblings, Wesley Maine, Candice Maine Seamon (Monty Seamon), Carol Maine Patterson (Don Patterson), Jeffrey Maine (Brenda Maine); as well as many nieces and nephews; and his cherished companion, Bella Mae. He was predeceased by his mother, Constance Frances Mary Newman Maine. His funeral arrangements have been established with the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Ilion, NY (Town of Frankfort) and will consist of the following times: Calling hours at the funeral home are on Wednesday, December 1st, 2021, from 4PM until 7PM. A Memorial Service will begin Wednesday evening, at 7PM, at the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Hans Drews, officiating. An additional celebration of life will be held at the discretion of the family, at a later date. Eric’s services were arranged with his friends and neighbors, Funeral Directors Harry J. and Kevin E.
