Being three years behind Claudia in school in Little Falls and sharing the same last name (Talaba) because our fathers were cousins, I remember occasionally being called "Claudia" by some of our teachers. They would eventually get my first name right as I made my own personality known to them, but I never minded being mistaken for Claudia since that meant a relation of mine had left an impression on our former shared educators, thus paving my way. Always knowing Claudia as having a bright and bubbly personality and a positive outlook on life, I enjoyed being connected to her in this way. She was always funny and friendly and kind to me and her passing makes me sad that once out of school our future married lives took turns that kept us from being closer relatives. When her brother, Sammy, married my cousin, Karen Costello, I was more often able to inquire about and stay aware of Claudia's life........But, time and distance away for the past number of years has made my learning of her untimely passing a surprise. I can only hope that she lived a life as happy and fun-filled as that smile on her face and that giggle in her manner of speaking. I will always fondly remember her. My condolences to all who share her memory, Paulette (Talaba) Ferraro
