Obituary of Helen F. Nudo

FRANKFORT/MOHAWK – In loving memory of Helen F. Nudo, age 92, who passed quietly in her sleep on Wednesday morning, December 29, 2021, at her daughter’s home, where she has resided for the past few years. Born on March 5, 1929, Helen was the last living child of the late Joseph and Victoria (Cioch) Alexandrowicz. She was raised and educated in Herkimer. In 1950, Helen was wed to Mr. William J. Nudo and they shared in 53 years of marriage until Bill’s passing on October 30, 2003. Helen was a vibrant, active person throughout her life. She loved to sing and cook. She will be missed by all. She is survived by her three children, William Nudo and wife, Judy, of Herkimer, NY, Mary Beth Borgstede and husband, Bryan, of South Glens Falls, NY and Robert Nudo and wife, Jan, of Wilton,NY; she also leaves six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends and relatives are invited to attend visitation for Helen on Thursday morning, January 6, 2022 from 10:15AM – 11:15AM at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, Town of Frankfort, Ilion, NY (315) 894-8000. Helen’s Funeral Mass will commence, following visitation, on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 12:00 NOON at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church in Frankfort, officiated by Rev. Paul Catena, Pastor. Procession will follow to Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frankfort, where Helen’s earthly remains will be laid to rest beside her husband. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to Catholic Charities of Herkimer County, 61 West Street, Ilion, NY 13357. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. The Nudo family has entrusted the care of their beloved mother to the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, Harry and Kevin Enea and Martin L. Ciaccia, Funeral Directors.
