Obituary of Linda (Luppino) Wood

MOHAWK – Mrs. Linda (Luppino) Wood, age 75, a lifelong area resident, passed away on Sunday morning, May 29, 2022, in Ilion, New York, with her loving family, always by her side. Born May 25, 1947, in Herkimer, NY, she was a daughter to the late John J. and Mary Carmella (DeNinno) Luppino and lived her whole life in Manion Heights, (Mohawk), NY. She was united in marriage to Eric W. Wood, on March 30, 1968. He passed away on November 13, 1998. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide at Valley Health Services during the 1990s. Linda enjoyed going to camp at Pleasant Lake with her late husband. She loved her pets, both cats and dogs. She also enjoyed going to daily Mass at Annunciation Church, in Ilion. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Lee (Wood) Bardo and her husband, David Bardo; Cherished grandchildren, David, Eric and Paige Bardo; Her sister, Mary (Luppino) Davis and her husband, Bill; Her nephew, Chris Davis and his wife, Lisa, Mike Davis’s wife, Karlee Davis and their children, Julia and John; Also, many cousins, especially Clarinda Luppino. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; and her nephew, Mike Davis. We offer special thanks to the second floor nursing staff, at the Grand, Ilion, NY for their wonderful care during her time there. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Road, in Ilion, New York, on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Her Funeral Prayer will be celebrated thereafter at the funeral home, concluding at 11:15 a.m. and officiated by Father Paul Catena. Interment will take place at a later time convenient to her family, at Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer, New York. Arrangements have been coordinated with family friends, Harry J. Enea, Jr., Kevin E.
