Obituary of Viola Julian

Mrs. Viola C. Julian, 78, of 2 John St., Mohawk and a longtime Herkimer resident, passed away on Thursday morning, January 16, 2003 at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown after a long illness. Mrs. Julian was born on April 8, 1924 in Herkimer and was educated in Herkimer schools. She married Frank R. Julian on May 3, 1980. The couple moved to Mohawk eight months ago. She was last employed by Duofold in Mohawk. She was a communicant of the Church of Sts. Anthony and Joseph. She enjoyed shopping, socializing with friends and having company. Viola leaves her beloved husband, Frank R. Julian of the home address, two sisters, Martha Pedro of St. Johnsville and Eleanor Nicastro of Herkimer, a sister in law, Diane Cherry of Herkimer, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Peter Paratore, a sister, Carmella Gotti and a brother Joe Cherry. Viola's funeral will commence at 12:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2002 where prayer will be offered and 12:30 from the Church of Sts. Anthony and Joseph's, S. Main St., Herkimer with the Rev. Robert Shinos, pastor officiating. Committal service will be held this spring in Calvary Cemetery, Herkimer. The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 11-12 on Sat. afternoon. All memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, envelopes are available at the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, Herkimer.
