Obituary of Murray Seaman

Murray A. Seaman, 44, of 126 State Route 169, Little Falls, and a longtime Herkimer resident passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2003. He was born on February 13, 1959, in Little Falls, the son of Catherine M. (Reardon) Seaman and the late Murray F. Seaman who passed away on August 23, 1997. He was a graduate of Herkimer High School. Murray was a United States Navy veteran, enlisting on March 11, 1976, and was honorably discharged on March 30, 1980. He was employed at Ideal Wood Products in Little Falls, and at one time he worked as a parts manager for Skinner's in Herkimer. Mr. Seaman was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the Herkimer Michael S. Pliseck VFW Post No. 4915 and the Little Falls American Legion Post No. 31. Survivors include his mother, Catherine of Herkimer; three brothers, Edward Seaman and wife Michele of Herkimer, Steven Seaman and wife Shari of Warner Robbins, Georgia, and John Seaman and wife Julie of Brewerton; two sisters, Katherine Rice and husband Richard of Little Falls and Marianne Aloisio and husband Peter of Herkimer; his companion, Sally Casler Kochan of Little Falls; nine nieces and nephews, Megan and Maureen Seaman, Kayla Donovan, Paul Rice, Nathaniel Rice, Shawn Rice, Jack Seaman, Shane Seaman and Matthew Aloisio; cousins and an aunt, Ann Reardon of Little Falls; and an uncle, James Seaman of Atlanta, Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 31, 2003, at 9:15 a.m. from the Holleran-Enea Funeral Home, 220 N. Washington St., Herkimer, and at 10 a.m. from St. Francis de Sales Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Mark Cunningham, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery later in the spring. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Sunday, March 30, 2003, from 5-8 p.m. Members of the Little Falls American Legion Post No. 31 are asked to meet at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6 p.m. for services. Members of the Herkimer Michael S. Pliseck VFW Post No. 4915 are asked to meet at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. for services.
