Obituary of Mary T. Litto

LITTLE FALLS – Mrs. Mary T. (Donovan) Litto, of Little Falls, NY, joined her beloved husband Willard in heaven on November 3, 2015 at Alpine Rehabilitation & Nursing, Little Falls. She was surrounded with love. Mary was born in Little Falls on December 25, 1932, the daughter of the late William J. and Concetta M. (DePietro) Donovan. She was a lifelong Little Falls resident and a graduate of Little Falls High School. Mary was united in marriage to Willard A. Litto on August 30, 1953, in St. Joseph’s Church, Little Falls, with the Reverend A.P. Perrone officiating. Together they enjoyed 57 years of marriage and raised their family. Mr. Litto passed away January 29, 2011. Mary was employed with Alexander & Alexander, Inc. Insurance of Utica, NY. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish as well as the Church Rosary Society and the Little Falls Lady Elks. Mary enjoyed vacationing with her family during the summer months in the Adirondacks and on Cape Cod and winter months were spent in Arizona. Mary loved living in Little Falls. She took pride in her home and her family was her life. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor and friend. Her joy was in the happiness of those she loved. Mary was an extraordinary woman and touched the lives of all who knew her. Mrs. Litto is survived by her loving family; son, Joseph Litto, Ph.D., and his wife Kathy, of Colts Neck, NJ; daughter, Deborah Navidi and her husband Vahid, of Peoria, AZ; her grandchildren, Audrey Rose Litto, Kelly Stasilli, Andrew Navidi and Tatum Navidi, her brother and sister-in-law, William and Laurie Donovan of St. Louis, MO, and nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her beloved grandson Brent Stasilli. Her family has planned all funeral and burial arrangements with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls, NY. Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea (315) 823-2424. The funeral will commence on Monday November 9, 2015 at 10:30 AM from The Enea Family Funeral Home and at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Parish Church, corner of East Main & John Streets, Little Falls, with the Rev. Terence Healy officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Sunday, Nov.8 from 5 until 7 PM. The Little Falls Elks will gather at 6 PM for their service. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mary be considered to Herkimer County Catholic Charities.
