Obituary of Edward F. Lovrin

LITTLE FALLS – Mr. Edward Lovrin, a lifelong resident of Little Falls, NY, passed away February 24, 2016 at Folts Homes of Herkimer. He was born April 15, 1921 in Little Falls, NY, a son of the late Frank and Rafaela (Hodnik) Lovrin and was a Graduate of Little Falls High School. He served our country overseas during World War II with the United States Army-Air Force. Upon honorable discharge with 653D Bomber Squadron 1945 he held the rank of Staff Sergeant. His marriage to the former Emma Maver took place on October 12, 1946 at St. Mary’s Church in Little Falls. Emma passed away May 16, 2013. Ed was a machine operator with Remington Arms in Ilion and had owned the Little Falls Wine and Liquor Store at one time. He was a member of the Holy Family Parish as well as the Little Falls American Legion Post #31. He is survived by two sons, Robert Lovrin and his wife Karen of Loudonville, NY, and James Lovrin and his wife Sandy of Little Falls, his sister, Eileen Brin of Little Falls, grandchildren, Erica and Fallon Lovrin, Jackie Battisti and her husband Jeff, Russell Lovrin and his wife Linda, great-grandchildren, Brendan and Dakota Battisti, and nieces and nephews. His funeral arrangements are with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls, NY. Funeral Directors Harry J. & Kevin E. Enea (315) 823-2424. There will be a memorial graveside service on Friday April 8, 2016 at 11:30 AM at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. There are no calling hours as per Ed’s request. Those wishing are asked to consider a donation to the Herkimer County Humane Society in his memory.
