Obituary of Joan E Shepardson

LITTLE FALLS – Miss Joan E. Shepardson, a lifelong resident of Little Falls, passed away March 2, 2016. She was born July 25, 1925 in Little Falls, a daughter to the late Raymond and Edna (Hart) Shepardson. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, Class of 1942. She was a devoted and loyal employee of Cherry Burrell Corporation for over 45 years. Joan was a member of the Holy Family Parish and enjoyed bowling. Surviving are her brother, Jerry Shepardson and his wife Deborah of Chatham, NY, and a sister Ann Marie McCarthy and her husband John of Rockville, Maryland, her nieces and nephews, Paul Shepardson and Colleen Donnelly Shepardson, Anita Shepardson Huey and her husband Brian, Andrew Shepardson, Joan McCarthy Mazzio and her husband Victor, Jack McCarthy and his wife Sue, James McCarthy and his wife Maria, and Julie McCarthy Milbach and her husband Alan, and her grand nieces and nephews who called her Great Aunt Joan--Ryan, Delaney, Cameron, Courtney, Jonathan, Sean, Brigid, Teagan, Liam, Kaylin, Molly, Meghan,Seth, and Alyssa, many cousins as well as her care givers Jessica Battisti and Nancy DeLuca both of Little Falls.She was predeceased by her sister,Anita Shepardson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 12, 2016 at 9:30 am from The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls, and at 10:00 am at Holy Family Parish Church, corner of East Main & John Sts., Little Falls with the Rev. Terence Healy officiating, assisted by Deacon James Bower. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Calling hours will be 8:30 am until 9:30 am prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday March 12, 2016. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Parish, Little Falls.
