Obituary of Arlene Bundick

LITTLE FALLS – Arlene Bundick, 89, a lifelong Little Falls resident passed away peacefully on Thursday December 1, 2016 at Little Falls Hospital with the love and support of her family at her side. Born in the town of Herkimer on February 4, 1927, Arlene was the daughter of the late Albert and Izetta (Carney) Stahl. Raised and educated locally, she attended Little Falls Schools. On August 14, 1948 she was united in marriage to George Bundick at St. Mary's Church in Little Falls with whom she shared her life, her love, and many cherished memories during their 66 years of marriage. George passed away on March 15, 2015. During her working life, Arlene held positions for Slabes Sales & Service for many years and also worked for her father at one time for DeKater & Stahl Chevrolet Olds Dealership in Dolgeville. She last worked with Holy Family Parish in Little Falls as an administrative assistant for the Faith Formation program. Arlene was a woman of great strength of character and an honorable, dependable provider for her family. Arlene was a devoted caregiver to her husband George during his illness as well as to any family member in need. She held close to her heart the love she had for her husband, daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Arlene was a member of the Morehouse Lake Club, the Oppenheim Sprite Club, and was a member of the Holy Family Rosary Society. She enjoyed assisting at Holy Family functions and was a member of Holy Family Parish, Little Falls where she had served as a Eucharistic Minister. Arlene was an avid reader as well. She took the greatest pride in her grandchildren’s many wonderful accomplishments. She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, JoAnne (Jody) and John Bubb of Mohawk, Colleen and Steve Salamone and Shelley and Tom Cotton all of Little Falls ; her cherished grandchildren, Steve Coonradt and wife Mary, Lisa Peters and husband Dennis, D.J. Shepardson and wife Gina, Bryan Shepardson and wife Sarah, Stephanie Metott and husband Mark, Rich Salamone and wife Sara and Katie Cotton; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Beverly Murphy Casadonte and sister-in-law Jeannette Bundyk; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, an infant son John Edward Bundick, her husband George and a sister Elizabeth Harrod. Her funeral arrangements are with The Enea Family Funeral Home, 24 West Monroe Street in Little Falls, NY under the direction of Harry J. Enea, Jr. and Kevin E. Enea, Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 5, 2016 beginning at 10:30 AM with prayer at the funeral home and her Funeral Mass will take place at the Holy Family Parish Church, corner of East Main & John Streets, Little Falls at 11:00 AM with Rev. Terence Healy officiating. She will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery, town of Herkimer.
