Obituary of Louise (Snell) Klock

ST. JOHNSVILLE - Louise (Snell) Klock, age 90, passed peacefully on April 8, 2017. She married Lipe Klock, Jr. and together they had one son, David Lipe Klock. They remained happily married for 48 years until his death in 1994. She grew up in St. Johnsville, NY with her best friend, and twin sister, Lois (Snell) Klock and both women found love in the Klock brothers and spent many years as close family and friends. She graduated from St. Johnsville High School in the class of 1944. Louise began her career as a bookkeeper in the Palatine Dye and later worked in NBT Bank where she made lifelong friends. She enjoyed bowling, boating, snowmobiling and especially dining out. Left to honor and remember Louise are her son David Lipe Klock and his wife Sharon (Boroski) Klock of Fairport, NY, her granddaughter Laura Klock Herbert and her husband Paul Laurence Klock Herbert, of Boston, MA, her two great grandsons, Jackson and Tyler, her brother in law, Adam Klock of Romulus, NY and his son James Klock, along with cousins and close friends. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Olga (Mosenteen) Snell, her husband Lipe Klock, Jr. and her sister Lois (Snell) Klock. Louise will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known for her humor, and dry wit. In later years, she enjoyed reading, playing cards, and socializing with her friends and of course dining out. Many referred to her as a “firecracker of a lady”. Her funeral arrangements are with the Enea Family Funeral Home, 9 Center Street, in St. Johnsville, NY, Funeral Directors Harry J. and Kevin E. Enea (518) 568-2300. The family will greet friends from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday, April 9th at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are also invited to attend a graveside service conducted by the Reverend Nancy Ryan at 10:00am on Monday April 10, 2017 at the Klock Family Cemetery, 205 State Route 67 in St. Johnsville.
