I grew up just down the street from Helen. I grew up at 83 Furnace. I played with Marybeth lots of times at her house when we were young. Helen was a great lady and a wonderful Mom to her kids!
She was always making those beautiful and delicious cakes and treats in her kitchen.
Most of the neighbors that I grew up knowing on Furnace St. have been gone many..many years.
Myself..included..Our family moved away from Furnace St. many years ago.
I always remember Helen waving to me as she would ride by my house as she was heading home.
She was a wonderful lady with a great smile!
My condolences to you her family. She will be missed. She passed quietly into the waiting arms of our Lord on her favorite day...Christmas.
God Bless you Helen...Rest in Peace.

Such a wonderful lady. I have so many memories of Helen. We made many trips back and forth to Albany when MB was in college. I took ceramics in the basement and she made my wedding cake. She was always kind and welcoming when I would show up at her door unannounced. Many blessings for the family.

Helen was a fun lady. My first and only ceramic experience was with her many years ago. She told me to give it up because I was to imaginative and needed to make my own pottery. Besides she said, a purple lion was really not what she had expected. She has left memories for many.
Peace to her and her family.
